Phoenixx was designed
to give growers an advantage in today’s competitive marketplace by combining
speed, productivity and quality. Phoenixx is our most vigorous strain and
is faster in all phases of growing and production. Phoenixx produces
mushrooms with excellent quality and density, while maintaining high yields.

Amycel XXX was
developed to give growers a high yielding strain that could easily be
tailored to their specific market needs. XXX is an aggressive and very
productive strain, which produces large heavy bodied mushrooms while
maintaining competitive yields.

Amycel Maxx is a great
fresh market strain. Maxx combines the productivity of Amycel 2200 with the
sizing and quality of Amycel Delta. Maxx produces mushrooms with smooth
round caps and solid dense tissue.

Amycel Delta is one of
our most consistent premium quality strains, and is the preferred strain and
best producer on tray farms. Delta is a moderate pinner and will continue to
size without opening allowing for a high percentage of large mushrooms.
While Delta is suited for a variety of growing and compost conditions, for
optimal productivity and quality ensure that compost moisture and dry weight
are consistent.

Amycel 2200 is our
most forgiving strain and consistently provides quality and productivity
time after time under a variety of growing conditions. Pinsets are typically
heavy with the mushrooms sizing uniformly. Caps are smooth under ideal
conditions, but some scaling can occur as with any strain when humidity is
low or air flow is excessive.

Our newest traditional
brown strain, Amycel 2468 was developed as an alternative for Portabella
growers looking for faster pinsets and higher yields. Amycel 2468 is a more
vigorous and productive strain while maintaining all of the qualities that
have made Amycel the number one choice for Portabella growers in North
America. 2468 is the most vigorous traditional brown strain currently
available and is perfectly suited for the growers who want to produce a
larger percentage of crimini sized mushrooms. This strain's faster cropping
speed allows the grower the luxury of optimizing later breaks for Portabella
production. Cropping is very even, making the product easy to pick.

Amycel 2400 is our
Premium Old-Fashioned brown strain and the first choice for growers who want
to produce a large percentage of Portabellas. Amycel 2400 produces heavy
bodied mushrooms with a slightly flat cap and smooth brown skin. The stem is
often thick at the base, of medium length and is generally ivory in color.
Amycel 2400 is generally sensitive to over watering and requires good long
spawn runs for optimal production. |
